Difficulty with the First Family

As the sampler went sailing across the room, AppleJack walked into the room and asks:  Difficulty with the first family?  Hmm I had never thought of calling An All Was For An Appil the First Family sampler, but it seems to fit.

I have once again found the big girl britches and am facing the satin stitches.  I have counted and counted and counted, stitched on a waste piece of linen, outlined, filled in, ripped out, restitched, cussed and discussed.

I keep telling myself:  "the original sampler was probably stitched by a young girl (most likely under the age of twelve).  She is in needlework heaven laughing her fanny off at you stressing over these satin stitches."

Think the First Family had these problems?
