AppleJack and I were invited to an event at Grassmere aka the Nashville Zoo.
The land for the Zoo was gifted to the city of Nashville by the Croft Sisters.
The gardens around the homestead are tended by the Master Gardeners.
There were many beautiful blooming species.
All around town, the Iris are showing everyone their beautiful side.
The lilacs were blooming and oh what a heavenly smell.
True confession: I am not a zoo person. There are reptiles at the zoo and I don't do snakes.
I'm with you! No snakes for me. However, the flowers are so pretty! That is an interesting building too.
ReplyDeleteThe gardens are lovely, thank you for sharing. The daffodils are just barely popping open. It is still an adjustment i still struggle with, spring coming so late. It barely gets here before summer arrives. The month of May is like the Fourth of July with everything exploding into bloom.
ReplyDeleteLove this post the building and flowers are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love al creatures, even snakes, my brothers were bothered by them, not me I was daring.
Happy Stitching
