- The first was a small Adam and Eve sample by Remember the Ladies. The colors are very pastel.
- Second was a Blackbird Design--Crowning the Tree which I finished.
- Next on the list was a Primitive Merry Christmas by ChartMarkers. The counting problems begin.
- Fourth was a Needles pinkeep by Blackbird. Difficulty deciding on the fiber choices.
- Fifth is Blackbird Loose Feather, can't decide on the fabric
- Today I picked up Houses of Hawk Run Hollow by Carriage House and quickly learned why I had stopped stitching--more counting problems
- Yes, I am up to #7 a small make do by Shakespear's Peddler called Singing. Was making progress and ran out of the blue fiber.

I've Joined the Slump
One of my stitching observations is the elation a needleworker has after a completing a BAP or challenging project. Another observation is the slump. I finished An All Was For An Appil several weeks ago (a project I never thought I would finish). Since finishing Appil I have been moving from project to project.
Hi Betty, I think we all experience the "slump" every now and again. As I mentioned on another blog, I believe that's how I accumulated so many WIP's! I think when other things are on our mind and need to be attended to we have a hard time relaxing with our stitching. Enjoy your garden for a little time until your stitching mojo returns!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I think it's hit you as well. Bummer. You sound like me, wandering from project to project. I've now started my -- oh gosh I've lost count of the number of projects I've flitted to, but it's at least 3, or more. But I've started another and I have very high hopes for this one. I hope so, can't afford anymore WIPs! lol! Hope you find something that inspires you out of the slump.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you've stumbled into stitching blah land. I know in the past I've put down a BAP and stitched several small projects and was frustrated because I could have put all those stitches into my BAP. Sometimes I go look at some of my completed projects and remember how much I enjoyed working on it. It usually gets me back in the mode. Enjoy your garden.
