Punch Needle

Shephard's Shade
Threads that Bind #637 by Shawn Williams
Called for DMC fibers

Can we talk about a finish instead of all the mistakes?  The sheep on the left has obviously been eating more than his share of rations.

Note to self:  when you are learning something new, choose a smaller project.

  1. It looks great. The left sheep just looks like it missed out on being sheared.

  3. It looks like the way nature would have done it. It is so pretty. Is the needle punching faster than cross stitching?

  4. I’m probably not supposed to like this one, but I really do think Lefty is my Favorite. Need to find a teeny tiny punch needle project. This girl needs some punch needle in her nest. Judy

  6. I think that we are not all the same size and sheep should not be the same size, I love it.
I think you did a beautiful job, if this was your first attempt you did a wonderful job.

  7. Great finish!!! But, yikes, this is not a beginner project LOL. I did that one several years ago, and there’s a great deal of punching to it.... Now you have me wondering what I ever did with it LOL. Robin

  9. Males are usually larger than females in the farming world. Tell them you were aware of this. Looks great!
